The basic thumb rule for getting high search engine rankings is to optimize the website for search engines. When it comes to SEO, On Page SEO and off page SEO are the two factors which decide where the website should be ranked on Search engines.

Though off Page SEO takes time to get on track, you need to ensure, your foundation is well set for your website and this is where On Page SEO plays the major role in SEO optimization.

You may think, why On Page SEO when you are working hard on off page . To clarify you, consider On Page SEO as your boat and off Page SEO as sea. To sail smoothly, you need to make sure, you build the boat with good foundation right?. Yes, on page optimization is all about setting up the base foundation for your website which will help you to boost your search engine rankings further.

The rise of Google Panda and Humming bird update from Google has made the rules even harder for all the webmasters, and Google with those update has announced clearly, this is no more an easy game, and all the so called old Guru techniques will not work anymore.

Google has also made clear; the future of SEO depends heavily on these 3 factors,

On-Page SEO: Best Practices to Rank Your Blog in 2022
On Page SEO Optimization techniques boost your rankings

What is On-page SEO?

On-Page SEO is a trick or technique we can apply on our website to drive some traffic organically. So there are a lot of things we have to do for On-Page SEO.

It’s a bustling place, and you have to get attention in this busy place where a lot of people are doing the same thing to get attention. Now you have to be unique and magnetic.

As we know search engines change their algorithms time to time so always updated from this thing because due to that changes on the search engine will affect our SEO, so we have to improve our SEO according to the algorithms of the search engine.

You have very limited seconds to show your skills through your website. “For example, you are a shopkeeper, and you have to sell the product of your shop within 8 seconds. And 8 seconds is very less time to present your product in such a beautiful manner like the customer who comes to your shop will fall in love with your every product”.

So the things I want to tell you that make your most productive and informative so that user will spend much time on your website.

Nowhere in this article, I want to talk about ON-Page SEO in detail. So before starting let me tell you that SEO will split into two categories:

  1. On-Page SEO
  2. Off-Page SEO

To know in detail about the techniques, we need to first know what exactly is meant by On-Page SEO. On-Page SEO or (Search Engine Optimization) refers to all the measures that you can apply directly on or within your website in order to improve its position in the search engine rankings such as Google.

This is a very important technique, if performed properly will result in higher visibility of your website in SERP or Search Engine Result Page. The major practices involve strategically placing target keywords on your web page: Title, Meta tags etc. We will discuss each one in detail further in this article.

On-Page SEO

SEO is surely evolved in these past few years. In U.S alone, on an average more than 12 billion web searches are conducted each month. And out of this about 50% searches are conducted using mobile phones. So to rank yourself in the search results, SEO serves as a great help to get quality traffic, boost your brand and business credibility.

Google changes its algorithms multiple times a year making it difficult to stick to one strong SEO strategy. It is therefore advised to put in use the best practices available. In 2023, the way you did SEO will change slightly and more importance will be given to:-

  • User experience: – Gone are the days when you could stuff your Meta tags with all the target keywords in order to gain higher rankings. SEO has evolved and Google has become smarter day by day. The user’s experience on your website will be the deciding factor of your ranking. Improving your landing page quality, loading speed etc will enhance user experience.
  • Website Content: – What content you put on your website will have higher precedence over what you put in your Meta tags. Writing long and appealing content using various copywriting techniques will ensure a user spend more time on your site.
  • Bounce rate: – You need to ensure that a user coming from search engine spends a lot of time on your site. If they make an exit without surfing much or sending much time on your site will result in higher bounce rate and your ranking would drop quickly too.

Off-Page SEO

The things we have to do outside from our website to rank our website on the top search results such as on social media sites, forums, guest blogging, backlinking and article submission.

One suggestion for you guys if you are doing On-page and Off-page SEO both then I want to say that concentrate more on On-Page SEO because it will help you more to rank your content or post as compared to the Off-Page SEO.

Why we need On-Page Optimization?

Many bloggers know the meaning of this term search engine optimization (SEO). They are not making their article SEO optimized; if they do, then it’s perfect for their blog.

Why we need On-Page Optimization

Many of the new bloggers will think that why their articles are not appearing on the first page of the search engine. Well maybe there is the ton of reasons, but if you are not giving your proper attention to the SEO, then it’s the biggest reason why your content is not in the top search.

While doing SEO, there are many things we kept in mind to rank our content higher on the search engine. Don’t use shortcuts because shortcuts help you to list your website very fast in the search engine top searches.

There are many tips and tricks you can use, but Google and other search engine don’t permit you to do this. These shortcuts come under the black hat SEO. And no search engine permits you to do Blackhat SEO. It’s like you rank your website through spamming.

If I am talking about Google, then ON-Page SEO is not sufficient to rank your content high. You have to do many more things such as social media sharing, backlinks (See previous article - How to Get High Quality Backlinks), guest blogging, Domain authority (DA) and many more things.

SEO is very vast if you are going deep. You will learn many things about SEO what you don’t know. It’s the best way to earn money online and showcase your skills in the front of everyone.

The primary focus is to optimize your article in such a great way. So that our target audience can quickly bring our website content from the targeted keyword.

When a user enters a query or searched for something in any search engine like Google, it displays the best results that matches the search term in the SERP. Now this result in SERP is displayed depending upon how well and effectively they have optimized their website. A user would generally surf through the 1st or in many cases the 2nd page of search results. You need to have your website ranked within these pages in order to capture user’s attention.

Search Engine’s like Google, which is also used by majority of the population across the globe, gives priority to SEO. It takes into account various factors while displaying its search result. Using On-Page SEO not only boosts your online visibility but also helps the growth of your business.

On-Page Optimization Techniques for Better Ranking in 2023

Now I am going to show you the tricks I used while doing On-Page SEO. Some things you have to keep in mind except On-Page SEO.

  • Experience of the user: The website you are using should be fully responsive and make sure that there are no broken links present on the site.
  • Users who are coming to your website to get information then make sure that he will not hit the back button instantly if he hit then the ranking of your site will affect. This thing will increase your bounce rate and increment in the bounce rate of your website means that you rank on the site will become lower, and it’s bad for SEO.
  • Write informative content which is necessary or having information by using proper heading and subheading. So that people will spend more and more time on your website. Make your content easily readable and easy to understand it will help your user to engage with your post quickly. Before posting anything, you have to think like user point of view.

This is a well detailed article on On Page SEO, which will definitely boost your organic traffic. Also, you will learn about the best practices for ranking your blog in 2023.

Title of the Blog

There are many things you have to care about, but the most critical thing is title if am talking about On-Page SEO.

If you made your title more attractive and optimized then the probability to open that topic by the users will increase, more and more people will curious to know about the content you wrote on that link if your title is attractive.

If your post will get a large amount of click, then the chance of getting your post on the top search is high.

Title of the Blog

Always try to use your focus keyword in the starting or beginning of the title or heading for making your title more optimized if this thing is not possible then make sure that the focus keyword you are using will appear somewhere on the title.

If you are not using the focus keyword in the title then it will affect your SEO and ranking of your post.

Example: if you are using football somewhere in the title then make sure that football will appear at the beginning if this is not possible then use anywhere in the title. But use football at least once in your post for better optimization.

Don’t repeat the focus keyword you are using twice or thrice in the title. I know many of them are thinking that it will help to rank your content higher but it won’t because It may affect your ranking.

Using of keyword many times come under black head SEO and google or any other search engines don’t give you the authority to rank your content with the help of black head SEO.

So use your target keyword only one time in the title and one more thing you have to take care that doesn’t use more than 65 characters in your title for better optimization. There are the lot of small-small things you have to take care otherwise it will affect your SEO.

Create Readable Content

The old phrase, “Content is King”, still applies and should be the major focus of your on-page SEO. This means creating readable content. Your readers should not have to struggle to get through your content.

By increasing readability, you also increase the likelihood that a visitor will find your content useful. They will be more willing to share it with their friends or family on Facebook and other social media platforms.

How do you know if your content is readable? There are numerous tools for rating the quality of your content. The first step is to check your spelling and grammar. Most word processors have built-in spell checkers. For additional help, look for plugins, such as Grammarly.

The Flesch reading ease scale is another tool you can use to test the readability of your content. Again, you will find this available in most word processors or online through web-based applications.

Though you made all your on page optimization right, finally Content is what matters for search engines. As you have heard CONTENT IS KING, this is 100% true when it comes to ranking in search engines, and that too after the rise of Google’s Panda and Hummingbird, Google uses strict algorithm to analyze the content of any website.

But how does Content correlate with on Page SEO? After the google’s massive algorithm updates, it is very clear, search engines loves only quality content and also recent study has revealed, the article length plays vital role in ranking. So if you have a lengthy article, the chances are you may see an increase in search engine rankings.

Though there is some confusion on minimum number of words for an article, I personally like to write any of the articles above 600 words, which has helped me to rank my articles in search engines. Although it is up to you to decide on how many words you write for an article, I would suggest you, to maintain the uniqueness of article which will help in search engine rankings.

The other important thing you need to ensure is, making use of your keywords in the article and make it look natural, rather placing keywords intentionally all over the article. It is always better to use the combination of keywords instead using the main keywords everywhere in your content. When it comes to usage of keywords, it is advisable to use 1% – 2% of keywords depending on the length of your post, so if your article has 1000 words, you can use your keywords around 10 – 15 times.

Other than this, there are some more important rules to be followed when crafting your content:

  • Don’t over use the keywords on your content, which may lead to keyword stuffing, and has serious impact on the search engine rankings, We will address it below.
  • Don’t hide keywords under and Div tags or under any page using code.
  • Avoid using the background color similar to your text color.
  • Avoid using Popup, some sneaky codes to restrict users from exiting, etc.
  • Avoid using hidden links inside content.

Hosting Service:

Though some may not agree when I suggest the hosting server is one of the on page seo factors, but to make this point clear, let me ask you , Do you accept page loading speed as one of the important SEO factor?. If so, then why not server?

Google tracks the website loading time and the performance of website to improve its user experience, so, what is the point in optimizing your website with all the cache plugins and custom codes to minimize JavaScript, if you don’t have a good server speed, or server down time often. In that case still Google considers your website is not optimized and leaves a negative impact on the rankings.

You get my point right? Since choosing your web hosting is the first thing any website owner will start with, I have made this as my first on Page SEO factors which makes sure to strengthen the foundation.

To get this thing done right, from my experience I would suggest you to go with any reputable hosting service provider based out of US and European countries. The reason being, these are the countries where the internet speed is pretty much high when compared to Asian countries, providing a high speed server.

If you are looking for some of the hosting service provider I suggest you to start with Bluehost or Hostgator for as low as $0.01 and also these two are the best hosting service providers as of now and I have been working with both of them for quite few years and haven’t faced any issues.

Website Platform

The next important factor of on page optimization is choosing the right platform for your website. There are number of CMS platform available, and in addition to this you can even get a custom website designed in HTML, Php, Aspx, etc.

But before choosing the platform, make sure your website platform compromise all these requirements:

  • Able to customize Title Tags, Meta Tags for all the pages
  • Responsive to fit to any screen, either be a desktop, laptop or a mobile phone.
  • Allow customizing the url structure
  • Option to optimize the images alt tags
  • Support custom 301 redirects
  • Customizable 404 page
  • Automatically update the sitemap
  • Finally, Search Engine Friendly

Though there are number of CMS platforms to choose from, I would recommend to go with Self Hosted WordPress platform, Since wordpress is a CMS package, which by default has all the option to start your SEO optimization straight away.

Website Speed

As we discussed earlier, Website speed is one of the important factors Google has started to consider, to provide the best user experience with the search results.

According to Google’s Official statement, website with a loading time of 1-2 seconds is considered providing the best user experience and anything over 2 seconds will have a negative impact in terms of ranking.

Though Google has suggested loading time of 2 seconds, you should make sure to optimize your website load time to be around 1.5 Seconds as this will ensure, your website speed lies inside Google’s threshold limit. You can check your website speed here, and if you have already added Google analytics account, you can get the complete stats of your website load time from analytics data.

On testing, if you find your website takes too much time to load, then you might need to consider reducing it by enabling cache system, minifying the css and Javascript, and reducing the image sizes to improve the site speed.

If you are on a WordPress platform, you can use W3 Total Cache Plugin, which will make your life whole lot easier by enabling cache on your server and I have personally experienced my load time reduces half when I use this plugin. If your website uses lot of images, then you might need to compress the image size so that, it don’t take too much time to load. To do that, there is a plugin called Smush which reduces your image size by compressing without losing quality.

Use Proper Meta Tags

If you are building a website from scratch, or using a WordPress plugin, pay attention to your use of meta tags. This includes the title and description of the page. Keep your title to less than 70 characters. The description should be 160 characters or less.

Also, make your title and description relevant to your content. You can try to include your primary keyword once or twice, but readability is still a factor with your tags.

As you begin adding additional web pages to your site, make sure you do not use duplicate meta tags. Use a unique title and description for every page that you create.

# Structure of your URL

Having a good url structure is not only important for visitors, but also for search engines to index your website. If you don’t follow a well formatted url structure, it might lead to lower your search engine rankings.

According to Google, you can have up to 256 characters in your url, however top SEO analysts suggests, if you keep the characters down to 100, the chances are high it will be ranked on top of search engines.

In addition to this, a good url structure should not have any Spaces, Special characters, etc. You can use only hyphen to separate the words. So basically a good URL structure will look something like

http://www.yourwebsite.com/your-post-keyword

It is also the first place where Google get to know about your content, so it is better to have your keyword on the url which will help your SEO ranking.

# Post Title:

The next most important factor for on Page SEO is the title tags. Title Tags are the snippet presented to users when they search on Google or other search engines. Using a good call to action will improve the click through rate of your website.

Next to url, Title tags is where you will be using your keyword. Though some of you are aware of the title tags, here is the list of factors, which ensures having a good Title tag:

  • Title should be unique and it is advised to avoid using same kind of title throughout your website
  • Using Keywords at the start of title will help your rankings and, if space permits you can even add your keywords twice in title tags.
  • Your title should have minimum of 15 characters (this is the minimum character required for search engine) and not more than 60 characters.

If in case your title is short, you can use your brand name at the end by separating with a hyphen or a pipe symbol.

Your Title tag should look like this,

<title>Keyword with call to action Title – BrandName</title>

# Meta Description Tags

Meta Description tags are the description used by search engines to display a short overview of the content.

Though Meta description tags, don’t play major factor in search engine it is always recommended to use your keywords in this tags which will increase the CTR of the search result. There are certain guidelines to be ensured for your Meta Description tags to be Search Engine friendly.

  • Avoid Grammar or spelling mistake, along with usage of correct punctuation marks.
  • Should have minimum 50 characters and not more than 160 Characters
  • Should outline your content details, and a perfect Call to action will increase CTR.
  • Keywords can be used twice on the description tags, (Using keywords at start will encourage users to click on the link)

A perfect Meta description tag will look like,

<meta name=”description” content=”Keywords used along with the short
description of the Post, and helps in ranking for keywords targeted”
/>

Usage of Heading Tags

Heading tags has separate rank when it comes to on page SEO, Heading tags are the one, which are supposed to be the larger text on your website, and should be used for title or sub headings

H1 Tags:

Search engines determine the title of the article based on H1 tags, and it should be the first thing inside the content. It is always suggested to use your Main Keywords inside the H1 tags, and you should avoid using H1 tags for images or logos. On a side note you also need to ensure, no more than one H1 tags should be used in a Page.

H2 & H3 Tags:

Along with H1 tags, you are allowed to use H2 and H3 tags as a sub heading for the content. When writing articles, make sure to split in paragraphs with different sub headings, and from my experience I would suggest to use one H tags for every 200 words inside your content.

Website Interlinking

Cross linking of pages inside a website is considered as the best SEO practice. Interlinking pages with relevant keyword Anchor text will help in increasing the search engine rankings.

When interlinking, make sure to provide Dofollow links so that, it tells Search engines to index the page which you linked internally. Also it is ideally good to use around 20% of interlinks in a single article.

When cross linking the pages, make sure to use the Absolute path of the page (http://www.yourwebsite.com/Category/Page) and avoid using relative path (/Category/Page).

Social Presence

Social Media presence is considered as one of the top on page SEO factors, since the rise of Google plus, facebook, twitter etc. Social Presence helps search engines, in identifying the website trust and also understands the user’s engagement.

If you are on wordpress, use social sharing plugins to allow users to share contents from your website. And also if you have Brand page on facebook or communities, link them with your website to gain the credibility of search engines.

Userfriendly Navigation

While designing your website, ensure that you are providing user friendly experience with your website for the users to navigate around the website. Usage of Breadcrumbs and navigation panel will help Search engines to understand the structure of your website and helps in ranking the page hierarchy.

It is also recommended to avoid using javascript, flash kind of navigation pane which makes it difficult forsearch engines to index.

Mobile Responsiveness

Google has recently announced, the websites mobile responsiveness will be considered as one of the important ranking factors and this is the reason why I have included this in On Page SEO optimization.

Since the smartphones have started to revolutionize, Google is very much quick in understanding the changes, has stressed the importance of mobile optimized websites. So if your website is not optimized for mobile phones, it is time to do right now.

If you are using wordpress, You can install WP Smart Mobile plugin which is free and it will take care of optimizing your website for mobile users.

Optimize Your Images

Images are the other important part which helps you to improve your optimization and drive more traffic to your website.

If you are doing proper optimization of the images then it will definitely help you to increase the traffic from the images searches to your website.

Now comes to the SEO than on this topic I will tell you how On-Page SEO will help to improve your image optimization. You can optimize your image by many methods.

By using your target keyword in your post title will help you to make your post more targeted and focused.

Use an alt title for image optimization it will also help you to improve your SEO.

At least one image should be on each page of your website. This helps break up the content, making it easier for your visitors to read. It also gives you another opportunity for including some on-page SEO.

Whenever you add an image, use ALT tags to provide a description of the image. This is another spot where you can include your keyword, as long as it is related to the image in question.

The ALT tag was created so that readers can have an understanding of what the image was supposed to represent, in the event the image does not load correctly. It also serves the purpose of providing a description for visually impaired visitors that rely on programs to read the text or translate the content of the page to braille.

If you are using images on your website (which I am pretty sure you will), you should optimize the images in your website to help search engine understand you are using an image.

Since search engine algorithm can only read texts, you should always mention the ALT tag for any image used, which ensures your images are indexed under particular keywords used in the ALT tags. The image tag with ALT description will look like

<img src=”ImagePath.jpg” alt=”Image Description with keywords” />

Don’t use the copyright images in your post because if the person who made this image in your post then that person will claim and you will get a copy write strike like using the image without taking the permission of the owner of that image.

So use only stock images. There are many websites available from which you can use a ton of images without any copyright issue. These websites are made for this purpose only.

Here I am going to show you the names of 10 websites from where you can easily download the stock images for your post.

  • Gratisography
  • Pixabay
  • Pexels
  • Stocksnaps
  • Flickr
  • Morguefile
  • Freerangestock
  • Freedigitalphotos
  • Photogen
  • Stock photos for free

These 10 websites are in the top from which you can easily find all type of images related to your post and content. We recommend you to use only stock images only. It is beneficial for you as well as to your website too.

If you are using WordPress then I am going to show you the best plugins from where you can find your stock images from the dashboard. No need to go anywhere just install the plugins and use the stock images. Name of those plugins are:

  • PhotoDropper
  • ImageInject
  • Pixabay Images

These are the things you have to keep in your mind while doing On-Page SEO on the image you are using for your post. These things will definitely help you to improve your ranking in search results and make your post optimized. Also, make your content at the higher position.

Avoid High Keyword Density

By now, most website developers and content writers are aware that stuffing your page with keywords is not the best way to improve on-page SEO. Google and other search engines frown upon keyword stuffing and prefer you to focus on the quality of the content. Though, you should still include your keywords naturally within your content.

There are different opinions on this topic, but generally, 2 to 3% is considered an acceptable keyword density. This means that your keyword should comprise about 2 to 3% of your content.

In order to determine your keyword density, find out how many times the keyword appears in your text. Multiply this by the number of words in your keyword phrase. Divide this number by the total word count of the content.

For example, your keyword phrase is “search engine optimization”. The phrase appears 8 times in your 1000-word article. 8 (number of times it appears) x 3 (number of words in your keyword phrase) = 24. 24 divided by 1000 equals 0.024 – or 2.4%.

Improve internal links

Internal linking is basically used to interconnect your content with each other. Placement of links in a particular place on your website which can help you to improve your SEO and ranking in the search engine search list.

The most important weapon you have in On-Page SEO is internal linking.

Internal Linking

Internal linking not only helps our visitor to navigate all the website but also helps the crawlers of the search engine to find all the content of the website. If you are not doing internal linking then it might be difficult for the crawlers to scan the website.

Crawlers take time to scan all the things on your website. And if you are doing internal linking then it is very easy for the crawlers or bots of the search engine to find the content from your website.

There are a lot of different methods available that you can use to improve your internal linking structure. The main two methods who helps you to increase the internal linking is content links and permanent navigation links.

In content linking, we place the link of the related or similar content in the post. Like if I am talking about SEO then we place the links of my post which is similar to the post for better navigation of your website.

For example, you can use your internal linking in the post is like if I wrote a topic on WordPress then the topics which are related to WordPress is the best post to use internal linking.

In permanent linking, you can’t change your link if you set once.

So make your permanent link user-friendly so that the users who are coming to your website will easily learn that permanent link.

Some people are confusing about permalink or permanent link, so the people who don’t know about the difference between permalink and permanent link then don’t worry its same thing. Some people call permalinks and some say permanent links.

For good on-page SEO, use your keywords in the anchor text. But make sure that the anchor text flows naturally with your content. Anchor text simply refers to the text that contains the link. The links you choose should direct visitors to useful information. When linking to an external website, link to trusted sites of authority. This includes any sites that are at the top of their field or leaders within their industry.

Benefits of the internal linking on your post:

  • Further reading
  • Increase visitor length and page /view
  • SEO

You can also write 5 different article which is related to each other and interlinked them with each other. Due to this visitor will navigate your whole website and stay on your website for a long time and this thing is good for your website.

External Linking

Links are the source which communicates with search engines, and helps them in identifying how much trust worthy a website is. So it is always important to manage all your links either Internal links or external links, to optimize properly to help search engines to understand the link structure.

Similar to Internal Links, External links are the referring links from your website. If you are referring to any website by placing a link of them, it is considered as external links. Some examples of external links are comments on your article page, referring article, etc.

Though external links is always a good factor to have, there are some cases (like comments) where you might want to restrict search engines from indexing the external links. In that case adding rel=”nofollow” to your link attribute will educate google, not to follow the link and stops it from crawling the link.

But in case of referring to high authority domains or referring to particular content in our article, using the follow links will encourage your search engine rankings. To use follow links you can use either rel=”follow” or skip using this tag which by default considers as follow links.

External Linking

Yes, external links are also the part of On Page SEO 2023.

We do external linking by going outside of our website. That means you have to go someone website for the promotion of your website.

It’s a great way to link out your website externally. You have to share your links only on those websites who have post or content related to your website. That means niche of both the website is same.

Don’t do external linking with any website. While linking out your website outside the first check that the website you are going to link is trusted the website or not if not then don’t do external linking with that website.

In external linking, we use two types of links Dofollow and Nofollow.

IF I am talking about Dofollow links then Dofollow links are those links which we want that Google bot to follow from our web page and Nofollow links are those links which we don’t want Google bots to follow from our web page.

When we are using no follow link to the bad website or the website who have very low domain authority or DA then we use Nofollow links.

There are many things from which you can do for your external linking:

  • Forums: There are many forums on many websites where many bloggers of the same niche will come there and discuss the topic what you want or clear your doubts.
  • Guest blogging: In guest blogging, we write a blog on other people website for external linking. Keep one thing in mind that if you are doing guest blogging on someone website then the niche of your website and that website is same.
  • Social: You can also do external linking with the help of the social website like Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram etc.

Engaging Content

If you want to make your content more attractive and valuable then put quality instead of quantity. Make your content strong by giving the important information to the user what user wants from you.

If the user gets the things what they want from your website then they will spend more time and read your post what you wrote and next time they will definitely come to your website because of your content quality.

Some of the people came to this line for earning money instantly and for that they are using some tricks and google or other search engine not giving authority for those tricks and strategies what they are using so after some time like after one month their site will be banned from all the search engine for giving fake information to the users.

Make sure that the keyword you are using is related to your content. You have to learn that how you can engage more and more audience for your website.

Make your content according to the visitors like what visitors want from you because the thing will make your content more attractive to your users and they will spend more time on your website.

And if you are not making the content according to visitor requirements then you will not get more traffic and will not be able to engage more audience for your website.

If this thing will happen to you more time then the bounce rate of your website will increase and it is not good for your website. The increment in bounce rate will make your rank low in the search engine results.

If you want to write a quality content then first plan a something you want to write then go and do some research related to that content.

After research write some quality content in your own wordings. Make your content more informative so that the visitors who are going to read your content will be your daily reader.

Words Count Per Post

Only those post will rank as soon as possible in the search engine who have more number of words.

Post having less number of words should not be ranked early because due to fewer words in the post they come under less informative according to the algorithm of the search engines.

Search engine always gives first priority to those posts who have the maximum number of words.

And if I am talking about general information blog then you have to write a post of 500 words which is standard and if you want to provide more information and make your post more optimized then extend your words up to 1000 words.

Always research for your post before writing so that you should put important information into your post for more engagement.

If you are targeting highly competitive keyword then you have to take care of your content very much because if you choose competitive keyword then the content you are writing is strong and more informative.

The main thing is you have to put your keyword in your post according to the words that mean put your target keywords in your post according to your post lengths.

I am not sure but roughly according to my opinion put your target keyword in between every 150 words. This will make your keyword density in your post.

There is no official length or count that shows you how many words you have to write in your post. The longer post will rank faster because there is more information in your long post as compared to the short posts.

So make your post more information so that your visitors will glad after opening your website for information.
